This is my corner of the internet where I can write about things I am interested in. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, engineering, mathematics, international politics/national security policy, nuclear science, amateur radio/electronics, and outdoorsy hobbies.

To the side are the pages of my site. The top ones are general in nature, but if you scroll down I have some topics pages for my areas of interest.

About Me

I am interested in how the world works and I love to learn new things. I recently graduated from Iowa State University after studying mechanical engineering and mathematics. These two topics, engineering and math, make up a large portion of my current interests, but of course there are other things too. I am especially interested in more theoretical topics, such as atomic/nuclear physics, electromagnetic radiation (ionizing and radio), and numerical analysis (i.e., solving really hard math problems, usually differential equations, with computers). I try to keep up with these subjects through self-study, projects (where possible), and writing about what I've learned.

Besides my more technical interests, I also enjoy being outdoors, lifting, target shooting, reading, and listening to music. I especially love to collect books (which can be a problem) and vinyl records.

Below is an email address you can reach me at if you have any feedback on the site, questions about the content, or just generally want to connect. I have included an OpenPGP key and would ask that you please encrypt all messages if you are familiar with that. Otherwise, no need to worry about it, it's not required. As a final comment, I want to give a fair warning that this website is not meant for mobile devices since I don't have the HTML/CSS know-how to get things to load properly every time. Hopefully one day though!
