This is my corner of the internet where I can write about things I am interested in. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, engineering, mathematics, international politics/nat'l security policy, nuclear science, amateur radio/electronics, and outdoorsy hobbies.
To the side I list some of my areas of interest. These headings link to other pages where more entries can be found.
I also have a general blog that I can use for miscellaneous discussions and a page for pictures I want to share. There is a page of books separated by subject too.
About Me
I am interested in how the world works and I love to learn new things. I recently graduated from Iowa State University after studying mechanical engineering and mathematics. These two topics, engineering and math, make up a large portion of my current interests, but of course there are other things too. I am especially interested in more theoretical topics, such as atomic/nuclear physics, electromagnetic radiation (ionizing, radio, etc.), and numerical analysis (i.e., solving really hard math problems, usually differential equations, with computers).
Besides my more technical interests, I also enjoy being outdoors, lifting, target shooting, reading, and listening to music. Although, sometimes my reading hobby can be more of a cover for a book buying compulsion.
Below is an email address you can reach me at if you have any feedback on the site, questions about the content, or just generally want to connect. I have included an OpenPGP key and would ask that you please encrypt all messages if you are familiar with that. Otherwise, no need to worry about it, it's not required. As a final comment, I want to give a fair warning that this website is not meant for mobile devices since I don't have the HTML/CSS know-how to get things to load properly every time.
